ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project consists of constructing a new approximately 9,607-square-foot, steel-framed Fixed Base Operator (FBO) terminal and renovating about 3,800 square feet of an existing building at Davidson County Executive Airport in Lexington, North Carolina. The new terminal will include offices, a passenger lobby, conference spaces, and relocated flight line operations, while the renovation will update the existing structure to match its contemporary design. Work also includes roughly 1.5 acres of site development, such as a new entrance drive, service road, parking, utilities, and stormwater improvements, plus a pad-ready site for a future fuel farm by others. Airfield improvements include canopies and expanded taxi space, with no work planned in the active flight line beyond designated construction areas. WM2A Architects is the architect and Timmons Group is the civil engineer.
